Nicolau’s Laboratory is dedicated to the study and fundamental understanding of the interplay between nanomaterials and biomacromolecules for applications in environmental (water purification, sensing and remediation) and biomedical devices. We are in constant search of bioinspired materials that are useful to promote enhanced interaction with biomacromolecules (peptides, proteins, aptamers).
Another one of the experiences I obtained was working at Dr. Eduardo Nicolau’s interdisciplinary laboratory where I am currently working on my research and thesis. My main interest in the field is to improve the health and daily lives of people around the world through scientific research.Our main goal is to fabricate reactive/responsive membranes for water purification.
